Top Dog

valeriesphotos3Congratulations to Sadie, the “doodle angel” for being selected as Westport’s Top Dog for 2015 at this year’s Ribbon Ceremony!  Her framed photo will soon join the Dog Hall of Fame in Westport Town Hall.  Roxie, the chocolate lab-pit mix came in second, Tyr the handsome senior shepherd mix received the yellow third place ribbon and, in a tie, Lola the lab mix and Poni the Shetland Sheepdog rounded out the field in fourth place.  WASA would like to thank all those Westport families that nominated their top dogs, our judging panel and Earth Animal of Westport for donating the wonderful swag baskets for the top five finalists.  It was a joyful day for those in attendance and a chance to thank those wonderful, furry, endearing and important-in-these-stressful-times family members we call dogs.
